I was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church of Woodbourne. I participated in the Catholic Youth Organization and Served as an Altar Boy. I also was a member of the Woodbourne Interfaith Organization which included the Woodbourne Reformed Church and Woodbourne Synagogue youth groups.

I attended SUNY Delhi, served in the the United States Navy and thenembarked on a wonderful career with the New York State Police. In 1976 I moved to the historic Tuthilltown area of Gardiner, NY and raised my family there. I am very proud of my children; Devon, Ian and Colin Hayes and my two grandchildren Sophia and Gaia. I appreciate all that life has given me and feel that running for office is a way to perform Public Service to show my gratitude.
